SHPE San Diego is committed to giving back to the community through various programs and along with many other organization committed to the betterment of our community.
We believe that making young students aware of the many careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) fields while also informing them and their parents about the assistance in pursuing and benefits of obtaining college degrees will enhance the future lives of our fellow community members. Encouraging and enabling young students to pursue a STEM degree is only the first step in strengthening our communities. SHPE San Diego works with the SHPE Student Chapters here in San Diego County to provide them professional development, mentoring, and corporate exposure opportunities. We also provide Scholarships for exceptional students to help ease their financial burdens and allow them to focus on their studies.
