SHPE San Diego Scholarship Program Since the first scholarship in the amount of $100 was awarded to Ms.
Paz Gomez in 1982, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers -
San Diego Professional Chapter has continuously awarded scholarships
to university-level and deserving students pursuing a science or engineering
discipline. Certainly, the $100 award presented to Ms. Gomez started
it all - and has been a focus, excitement and driving force for San
Diego SHPErs to "promote the development of Hispanics in engineering
and other technical professions to achieve education excellence, economic
opportunity and social equity."
Information about the 2009 scholarships will be availible next spring. |
